Distracted Driving Presentation
April 9, 2019
The Distracted Driving Program is a subsidiary of the National Save A Life Tour. The Save A Life Tour has presented the dangers of drinking and driving to students across the country since 2002. However, over the years, nationally and internationally, there has been a growing trend of new driving dangers. Distracted driving, including texting and driving has become a serious problem on our roadways. In 2011, the Distracted Driving Program began spreading awareness of these dangers to students at hundreds of high schools, colleges and universities and corporate events across the country. Students were shown videos and given state and national statistics related to accidents caused by distracted driving. They then had the opportunity to participate in hands-on simulator experiences. We hope that these new and future drivers will use this knowledge to make more informed and better decisions when it comes to distracted driving.
